Founded in 1935, Aro-Sac has been a manufacturer of jewelry findings and components, and finished products in Rhode Island for over 70 years. Originally a job shop and tool & die company we performed tooling and stamping services for the US Government and local businesses. At the end of the 1940s, we began producing and innovating ear clips building the company into the well-recognized name it is today.

1935 – Founded by A. Robert Saccoccio
1940 – Began producing ear clips
1975 – A. Robert Saccoccio retires leaving the business to his son Louis and daughter Madeline.
1995 – Louis retires and Robert Montaquila purchases his share of the business
1996 – Robert Montaquila develops and patents a new style Lever Back ear clip.
1998 – Added a tubing department as a contract job shop
1999 – Acquired Jan-Craft, a hoop earring manufacturing company
2000 – Acquired Archer Manufacturing’s tubing department. During that summer we opened an in-house soldering department. Offering the service on a contract basis.

2001 – Signed an agreement with Monet to purchase their equipment and be the sole manufacturer of ear clips leading to 20+ new customers
Purchased box and tongue clasp, ear clip, end caps, and padded posts from Bell Findings
2003 – Acquired Aldrich Manufacturing a large decorative stamping business
2007 – Acquired Phenix Tool and Insight International which were our major domestic competitors in the ear clip business
2008 – Acquired Hilltop Hinge and have been producing their line of hinges to this day
2009 – Purchased the electronic and government stamping product line from Clark Mini Fastener helping us to gain access into the industry and diversify our growth
2018 – Acquired Industrial & Commercial Finishing, a longtime vendor who will move into our building and run as Aro Industrial Finishing.
2023 – Acquired A&J Tool and Findings – Wireforming and Jump Ring Divisions
